These low yielding dry land vines produce very small bunches and berries that are very concentrated with fantastic fruit driven flavours.
This wine is a reflection of its cool climate mountainous vineyard site, with a wonderful spectrum of flavour from aroma’s of citrus fruit, peach and melon nuances, concentration of tropical passion fruit and freshness reflected effortlessly on the finish leaving juicy afterthoughts.
Virticulture + Vinification
A unique 42 year old dry land bush vine vineyard which relies on natural rainfall, therefore producing small concentrated berries with intense fruit flavours and balanced acidity. These wines are made naturally with minimal intervention to allow the wines to reflect an authenticity and sense of place.
Hand harvested into small baskets early morning followed by whole bunch pressing allowing for gentle extraction of juice and fermented cold and naturally very slowly, this method of fermentation allows the wines to reflect more freshness, fruity and floral aromas. The wine is then allowed to age on the lees for added complexity and the integration of the acidity.
