Vine & Co Dry Land Red 2019
Vine & Co explores pockets of old dry land bush vines sustainably farmed, fermented naturally with minimal intervention, hand crafted and unhurriedly aged to stimulate your senses.
These low yielding dry land vines produce very small bunches and berries that are very concentrated with fantastic colour and flavours.
This blend is a reflection of these unique old vineyards with an expressive nose of sweet red berry and fruity aromas with hints of spice, earthy and dark chocolate notes, silky tannins with a with a lingering elegant finish.
Viticulture + Vinification
A blend of classic red varietals selected from unique diverse terroirs of old vines which have
received no irrigation and only rely on natural rainfall, therefore producing small concentrated berries with intense fruit flavours and soft tannins.
These wines are made naturally with minimal intervention to allow the wines to reflect an authenticity and sense of place.
Hand harvested into small baskets early morning followed by whole bunch natural fermentation in small open top fermenters, this method of fermentation allows the wines to reflect more freshness, fruity and floral aromas. Gentle pressing into barrels for further ageing before release.
